PlayStation® Fiesta Bowl and CFP Release Official New Year’s Six Logo Lockup

Nov 27, 2018

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – The PlayStation® Fiesta Bowl and the College Football Playoff (CFP) have released a new official New Year’s Six logo lockup.

The New Year’s Six bowls and the CFP finalized individual lockup logos for each bowl to reinforce its connection with the College Football Playoff each year, especially during non-Semifinal years.

“This is a mark that the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl and New Year’s Six bowls can use, in the years when they are not hosting Playoff Semifinals, to identify as one of the bowls associated with College Football Playoff,” said Bill Hancock, executive director of the College Football Playoff. “Participating in a New Year’s Six bowl game is a special experience for the coaches, student-athletes and other students, and for fans.”

The 48th Annual PlayStation Fiesta Bowl will take place on Tuesday, January 1, at 11 am MT at State Farm Stadium. The two top-ranked teams will be announced by the CFP on Sunday, December 2, at 1 pm MT live on ESPN.

“The Fiesta Bowl has built a legacy as one of the elite bowl games in college football. Being a part of the College Football Playoff New Year’s Six is further validation of that,” said Mike Nealy, Fiesta Bowl Executive Director. “That means we host a top-of the-line college football bowl game every year, and this new New Year’s Six mark allows us to call it out more prominently.”

Earlier this year, the CFP announced a new contract had been signed with the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl, securing its inclusion in the College Football Playoff through the 2025-26 football season. The PlayStation Fiesta Bowl is set to host College Football Playoff Semifinals in 2019, 2022 and 2025.
