Fiesta Bowl Charities Kicks Off “Read Across America Day”

Spirit and Fiesta Bowl staff, committee, ambassadors & volunteers, People’s Mortgage volunteers

 

WHAT

Fiesta Bowl Charities is kicking off “Read Across America Day”, an event for students from Loma Linda Elementary School and Encanto Elementary School, will be brought together to read Fiesta Bowl Charities brand new children’s book, Spirit’s Big Day, in part of this first ever book tour. Students between the grades levels of kindergarten to second grade will be participating in this event.

Both Title 1 schools will be receiving 10 donated books for the library and each student will be given a bookmark and other giveaways to encourage them to continue reading on their own. Fiesta Bowl Charities will also be donating $500 to both school’s library to purchase new books and reading supplies.

 

WHY

The book tour is done by Fiesta Bowl Charities to inspire students on the importance of reading and the value it has on their education.
