*Please note the new mission in the info brochure below.

This is the largest extracurricular STEM program for grade school and junior high school students in the state. The contest allows fifth through eighth grade students to enhance their knowledge of space technology.

Almost 1,000 students, making up 222 teams, participated in the 2016 competition. They worked together and built skills in critical problem solving, communication, team building and decision-making. More than 40 schools, organizations and clubs from all over the state were represented in this year’s event.

Congratulations to Team Genesis from SS. Simon and Jude School, the 17th Annual Honeywell Aerospace Challenge winners! This is the fifth time a team from SS. Simon and Jude has won. Space Camp, here they come!“Choosing to do the Aerospace Challenge was one of the best decisions I have ever made,” said seventh grader Bianca Feix, a member of Team Genesis. “I have learned so many things. I have not only learned knowledge about the moon but other things, like teamwork and friendship. I have found another family, an Aerospace family.”

We would like to congratulate the 6 finalists and all 222 teams who competed in the 2016 Aerospace Challenge on a job well done!
